Dr Abigael San (B.Sc [Hons], M.Sc, D.Clin.Psy, AFBPsS) is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist. She holds a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from University College London, a master’s degree in addictions from the Institute of Psychiatry and an undergraduate degree in psychology from Goldsmiths College, University of London. She has 15 years’ experience working in the NHS, has provided treatment to patients and supervision to clinical staff at The Priory Hospital North London and has also been an honorary lecturer for doctoral trainees at University College London. Dr San has worked for many years as an expert witness with the courts and as a consultant for various media organisations.

At her private practice in Mill Hill, North West London, Dr San treats a range of mental health problems in people of all ages. She tailors therapy to the individual but works primarily using CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and mindfulness, with her psychological perspective being informed by other approaches including psychodynamic and attachment theory.

Dr San works extensively in all areas of mental health and has special interests in anxiety, addictions, trauma, forensic psychology, emotional abuse and learning disability. She treats children, adolescents, adults, older adults and couples.

Dr San is an Associate Fellow and Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society (BPS no 079401), is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC no PYL19960) and is recognised by all the major health insurance companies.
